The head of the Bodybuilding Federation said that Iranian female bodybuilders had no right to participate in any competitions, according to the state-run Tasnim news agency report on July 3, 2017.
Citing a report about the coaching of Shirin Nobahari in Iran’s Women’s National Power Lifting Team and their participation in the Georgia world games, Naser Pouralifar said that they had not sent any women in the field of bodybuilding to any games and that they “had no plans to do this.”
“We have announced time and again that women’s participation in this federation is only related to learning activities”, he added.
“I will announce again that currently the Iran Bodybuilding Federation has not planned any competitions for women and women have no right to take part in any competitions,” he added.
