Why does the world remain silent when Iranian political prisoners are tormented to death or hanged?
June 18, 2018 - Why does the world remain silent when Iranian political prisoners are tormented to death or hanged?
Why is the world silent when juveniles are executed in Iran?
Why is this barbaric tyranny not pressured to publish at least a complete list of names of those it executes?
Today, a large number of our defenseless countrymen are secretly executed in prisons across the country. Several thousand more are on the death row.
We think of their parents, and of their wives and children who spend nights and days under stress.
We think of the

Hamid Baghaei: the fights between Rouhani, IRGC, Intelligence and the Judiciary are fake fights

The regime’s former first vice president acknowledged in an unprecedented manner yesterday (Wednesday, February 14) that as far as suppression and repression are considered, there is no difference between the regime’s various factions.
Hamid Baghaei said: "the presidential institution, the IRGC intelligence, the ministry of intelligence ... these are all the same... swear to God, these are the same. Their quarrels are fake fights. The IRGC intelligence and Mr. Rouhani's government are on the same sheet. The ministry of intelligence is also the same. The judiciary is also the same. These are all acts to fool the people. "

We Should Listen Closely To Iran

As the world continues to debate the recent Iranian outburst of protests, its "lack of leadership" as they claim, and the road ahead, there is no doubt in the minds of senior Iranian regime officials over who led, and continues to lead, this latest uprising that continues to rattle the very pillars of the mullahs' rule.

The shining stars and heroines of the Iranian Resistance

February 8th marks the anniversary of a fate-making event in the history of the Iranian people's quest for freedom.
On February 8, 1982, Khomeini's Revolutionary Guards surrounded and destroyed the headquarters and killed some of the most prominent leading figures of the PMOI. Khomeini –still alive in those days-- thought that by dealing such a heavy blow to the opposition, he could put up a show of force, demoralize the staunch supporters of the movement and break their resistance in prisons and outside.
It was an unequal battle between thousands of heavily armed guards vs. 20 freedom fighters. He thought victory is certain.

THE NUMBERS THAT PUT IRAN PROTESTS IN PERSPECTIVE

By Heshmat Alavi
The first chants heard in the Iran uprising launching on December 28th focused on skyrocketing prices and unemployment. The scope and depth of Iran’s unemployment are at times unbelievable, especially when you consider the fact that college graduates with Master’s degrees are seen as simple workers in construction sites, carrying loads in bazaars and other such means in their desperate effort to make ends meet.
A look at these statistics, from the regime’s own state-run media, provides an image and understanding of the power behind this time-bomb waiting to explode and bring

Iranian Revolutionary Guards: Terror Within And Abroad

“Cold-blooded murders”, a friend of mine cried out recently as she recalled gruesome memories from Iran while reflecting on the newly levied sanctions against Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). Encouraged and emboldened, her voice was filled with anger, determination, and a newfound hope that echoed the braveness of protesters and dissident university students in Iran of today. Her hope is a reminder that terror designation on the IRGC pursuant to Executive Order13224 and related Presidential executive decisions carry a subtle but dual message, affecting not only Iranian regime’s activities abroad but also its enemies within.

WHY AREN’T THE PROTESTS FOR JUSTICE AND DEMOCRACY EXTINGUISHING IN IRAN?

By Mahdavi Nasim
Disappointed by the deteriorating economic condition and rampant official corruption, the suppressed Iranian people poured into the streets and demanded radical political changes in Iran. The events led to widespread protests that astounded the world and shook the pillars of the power in the country.

The crackdown’s toll rose to 50 and about 8000 arrests, more than 20 were tormented to death in the custody in different cities according to the reliable sources inside Iran.
