Iran: Prison guards raid, beat up political prisoner Rasul Hardani

Political prisoner Rasul Hardani was beaten up on July 15, when security guards led by the prison security chief Yousef Mardi and his deputy, Mirzaei, broke into hall 12 of ward 4 of Rajai-Shahr Prison.
Following the raid carried out under the pretext of inspection, prisoners clashed with prison officials and security guards. Mirzaei used shocker against the inmates.
Rasul Hardani was arrested in 2000 and sentenced to death on security charges. The ruling was later commuted to life term. He was under 18 at the time of arrest.
