Iran: 16 nurses die in 18 months

Over the past one and a half years in Iran, sixteen nurses, women between 25 and 45 years of age, have died due to excessive pressure at their workplaces.
The news was announced by the General Director of the National Nursing Organization in a news conference in Tehran which focused on nurses’ training plan.
Ali Mohammad Adabi warned that a Mafia-like phenomenon is emerging in the Ministry of Health. He said, “Nothing has remained from the Health Ministry and the implementation of the (training) plan was a shortcut to provide for the interests of a specific group of people.” (The state-run Roozplus.ir, July 16, 2017)
